THERE IS NO MOMENT LARGE ENOUGH TO HOLD
There is no moment large enough to hold
The yearnings and accomplishments of years.
Praise be that tale never will be told:
Too long for memory, too trite for tears.
Yet I have labored in the cause of beauty:
"See this!" I said. "And notice well its grace."
All else was merely etiquette and duty,
The pride and passion vested in a place.
And in people of a similar dedication:
The teacher's urge to share the craft of joy,
To pass it to another generation,
A gift that time might otherwise destroy.
How sweet to have so long sojourned with you!
Now I am done. Look well to what you do.
